In the second of our Illuminate series of events, we celebrated Social Change – focusing on how purpose led communications and marketing can help brands grow.
Last Thursday, we invited our clients and friends over to the Manchester office where we held the second event in our ‘Illuminate’ series around Social Change.
This series is designed to shine a light on relevant industry topics to highlight key areas for our guests by hosting insightful talks, thought provoking panel discussions and a great opportunity to network with colleagues and peers in the industry.
We presented research from our Real World Insights team on why brands should have a social purpose, and this was followed by three fantastic guest speakers; Channel 4’s Ewan Douglas talked about the amazing work they have been doing, particularly around diversity; Sam Jones from Tunafish Media then spoke to our audience about his brilliant initiative, working with restaurants all over Manchester to offer food and other amenities to homeless people; finally, Drew Povey, Head Teacher at Harrop Fold School (Educating Greater Manchester) presented his inspirational story and discussed how social change can be embedded within leadership.
It was great to see so many people attending and enjoying these sessions, we can’t wait for the next event in the Illuminate Series…coming soon!
